Tarangini – Performing Arts for Cause is an initiative launched by Mitra CanCare Foundation featuring upcoming and established artists performing Arts of Indian Heritage.

The funds raised from the Tarangini programs will be used for community service projects focusing on Cancer Awareness, Comprehensive Cancer Support & Care and provide financial aid to the needy to treat cancer in children.

About Artists

Vidushi Anupama Bhagwat

Anupama Bhagwat, sitar musician nonpareil, has carved a niche in Indian Classical Music with a versatile & eclectic style. Acclaimed world-wide with a repertoire of global performances since 1995, her sensitivity and erudition has taken her to the highest echelons of the modern genre.

One of the leading disciples of Pandit Shri Bimalendu Mukherjee, doyen of the Imdadkhani Gharana, Anupama’s style is characterized by scintillating fast taans, mastery of the meditative alaap, and brilliant fluency of melody (raaga-bhava), while remaining true to tradition.

Pandit Pravin Godkhindi

Born in a family of musicians, Music is a divine blessing for Pravin Godkhindi. He hails from Dharwad. His father Pt. Venkatesh Godkhindi is an eminent vocalist and Bansuri Artist. Pravin started toying with a small flute at a very young age of three. Since then, the flute has remained his companion for life.

Pravin gave his first public concert at the age of six and held the audience spellbound. He soon became a disciple of Vidwan Anoor Ananth Krishna Sharma, a reputed mridhangam artiste, who provided a deep understanding of Laya and Layakaari. Pravin has to his credit many popular albums.

Nishi Ratnam

Mrs. Nishi Ratnam is a Lucknow Gharana Kathak artiste. Her performances preserve the purity through intricate Layakari in complex taal patterns as well as her command on abhinaya paksha while performing on age old Thumris. She was awarded the best performer of the year 2019, by Anand Dhwani Music Trust.
